Openmeetings provides video conferencing, instant messaging, white board, collaborative document editing and other groupware tools. It uses API functions of Media Server for Remoting and Streaming Kurento. Openmeetings can be integrated with LDAP & Active Directory to let domain users login the system by domain username and password. In this presentation, the speaker will illustrate details of how to configure LDAP & ADS with Openmeetings. Classes and functions in code snippets of Apache openmeetings and Apache Directory will be explained. Configuration file will be discussed from a user’s point of view assuming you have basic knowledge of java and LDAP. The speaker will show the configuration step by step. At the end of speech, a demo will be given.

Wentao Liu: The speaker, Mr.Wentao Liu, has more than 10 years IT and teaching experience. In his earlier career, he worked as a software developer and network engineer for China’s telecommunication carriers, such as China telecom.

Then he taught java programming and data structures in colleges. During that time, he founded the embedded system lab. He also co-founded a test center of National Qualification Certificate of Computer and Software Technology Proficiency in P.R.China

He was a contracted offshore project manager of Oracle. In 2015, he co-founded a startup landed in the area of cloud computing and mobile application development. He is eager to open source projects. In China, he co-developed online video conference bridge Onemeeting derived from Apache Openmeetings. The system can be installed on Linux，such as Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS and Windows platform. He received Apache Travel Assistance to attend 2015 ApacheCon Europe. In the past a few years, he was involved in market promotion of Apache Hadoop for some Chinese companies.

He is a personal formal member of KaiYuanShe, a Chinese open source community. As a dad of two lovely boys, he likes travel, music and singing.
