Apache Impala is a distributed query engine implemented based on the MPP architecture. This talk will share the basic implementation of Impala and the basic concepts in Impala. Based on this, we will introduce the noteworthy new features and improvements in Impala 4.x. Finally, we will discuss the future plans for Impala. Apache Impala is a distributed, massively parallel analytic query engine. This presentation will provide a short description of how Impala works and the basic concepts in Impala. Then the talk will introduce some notable features/improvements in Impala 4.x, and finally the roadmap of Impala.
